a luxury sailing charter experience

The why?

Do you recognize that feeling? You pay a lot of money to rent a nice sailing yacht and what you get is often a worn-out yacht with a 4hp dinghy, 13 different types of glasses, ugly towels, a mechanical toilet you need to flush by hand and a poor sail quality. Nonetheless you enjoy a magnificent holiday with family or friends, but it could have been extraordinary with just that touch of additional luxury. That’s why 2 young entrepreneurs started their own charter company and, after a careful market study, purchased a first yacht, a Hanse 575, that they fully upgraded. He, a passionate sailor, took care of selecting new sails and the necessary tools and equipment on board. She, a high-end interior architect, took care of the cushions, pillows, tableware … and added some extra comfort features like… a dishwasher!

The what?

Lifetravel is a 2013 Hanse 575 that was completely refitted in 2021. The Hanse 575 is the fastest cruising yacht in its class that is easy to sail single handed. You get a very good impression in this 3D visualization Hanse published at the launch of the yacht: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5kG6VKsT60

You enter the yacht by an extendable hydraulic gangway. Lifetravel is fitted out with a full teak deck, 3 large sunbathing areas with cushions and has 3 double berths and a crew cabin. The yacht is equipped to be self-sustainable and has a generator, watermaker, air conditioning in all rooms and common areas, 3 refrigerators and… a separate wine fridge. To endulge yourself in luxury full table and glass ware is designed by Michelin star chef Sergio Herman for the Belgian design brand Serax (www.serax.com) and bed and bath linen is from the luxury brands Fissaggio and Flamant. An ice maker finishes your cocktails of in style and a Nespresso machine is on board to guarantee good coffee while watching a video on the giant 32” LED TV that is discretely stowed away when not in use. For your cruising and sailing comfort the Hanse 575 is equipped with a retractable bow thruster and new (2021) sails: a self tacking furling jib, an in mast furling mainsail and… for that extra bit of fun, a furling Code 0. And that’s not all. When you need to go from the yacht to the shore, a 15hp Geniuss tender (hidden in the spacious tender garage that also gives access to the large bathing platform) is available to comfortably (and fast) bring you ashore. We hear you thinking: yes, waterskiing is an option! And when you like it more relax, Lifetravel is equipped with a brand new sub. Standard features like bimini, spray top, … are obviously taken care of. Key features are summarized below. You want to know more, get in touch…
